Drivers

UPDD driver suite

Windows, macOS,
Linux, Solaris and Win CE.

Add touch support where none exists. Add functionality the native driver doesn't offer. Keep legacy hardware running on modern operating systems. UPDD does all of it.

Windows

UPDD drivers are available for Windows XP through Windows 11. Legacy serial and non-HID USB devices alongside modern HID USB. Run modern multi-touch monitors on old XP systems, or old legacy touch hardware on the latest Windows. UPDD also brings configuration options not supported by native HID drivers. An older UPDD is still available for Windows 95, NT and 2000.

macOS

UPDD drivers cover macOS 10.7 and above. The latest UPDD V7 is a universal binary with native support for both Intel and ARM. Legacy serial, non-HID USB and modern HID USB are all supported, with full multi-touch gestures on multi-touch screens — mimicking the trackpad / Magic Mouse experience. An older UPDD driver remains available for Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7.

Linux

UPDD V6 on Linux works across most mainstream distributions, simplifying touch in an environment that can otherwise be tricky to configure. Legacy serial, non-HID USB and modern HID USB devices all supported.

Android

In a predominantly mobile OS, UPDD V6 extends touch support to any UPDD-supported USB HID device.

Win CE and Solaris

Not all previously supported operating systems are covered by the latest UPDD drivers. An older UPDD driver is still available for Win CE 5 through 2013, and Solaris 10. Contact us for further details.
